US (KS): Community Green Farms receives $1M+ funding to boost

According to Chanute, Pittsburgh-based Community Green Farms has awarded $1,052,000 through the Strengthening People and Revitalizing Kansas (SPARK) Community Capacity Grant.

The funding will be available from October onwards and will be used to boost regional production, as the news website shared.

Community Greens Farms will start the first phase of the 'Farm to School project,' allowing schools in Allen, Anderson, Bourbon, Labette, Linn, Montgomery, and Wilson counties to place 'hydroponic farms' in their classrooms. The future plan is to place one 'farm' in all 105 Kansas counties eventually.
