Angel Yeast and Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences join forces to drive agricultural innovation and efficiency.

Angel Yeast, the world’s leading yeast manufacturer, has recently entered into agreements with the Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences to embark on research and development initiatives in agricultural microbiology and plant and animal nutrition. This collaboration between the two entities aims to fuel agricultural industrialization, ultimately leading to improved efficiency and significant benefits for farmers.

Since 2016, Angel Yeast has been engaged in various cooperation projects with the Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences, starting with research focused on setting standards and implementing product evaluations. In 2022, they intensified their efforts in the research and development of microbial products in agriculture, with a particular emphasis on utilizing yeast sources. Angel Yeast has been at the forefront of plant and animal nutrition products, boasting numerous industry innovations such as yeast-source organic fertilizers and microbial feeds.

Qin Xianwu, Chief Engineer of Angel Yeast, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “This collaboration will help Angel Yeast make solid inroads in the biological agriculture sector while actively integrating into regional, national, and global agricultural development.”

The recent collaboration capitalizes on the Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences’ significant platform advantages in terms of talent, technologies, and Angel Yeast’s strengths in business operations and industrial integration. 

The collaboration will focus on several key areas:
  1. Development of microbial products and probiotics in fertilizer, animal, and aquaculture nutrition: The partnership aims to enhance the utilization of microbial products and probiotics in various aspects of agriculture, including fertilizers, animal nutrition, and aquaculture. These products can improve agricultural productivity and the overall health of plants and animals.
  2. Innovation in media culture products: The collaboration seeks to diversify the food supply by pursuing innovation in media culture products, and by exploring new cultivation and production methods; the aim is to create a more balanced and resilient food system.
  3. Expansion of yeast-source organic fertilizer application: The collaboration will focus on expanding the application of yeast-source organic fertilizers in rice, citrus fruits, tea leaves, and highland vegetables. This expansion aims to ensure food security by enhancing soil fertility and crop productivity.

In addition to the collaboration, Angel Yeast has devised a strategic plan to further expand its presence in the biological agriculture sector.

The company aims to address challenges and opportunities in the industry through the following initiatives:
  1. Agricultural food security: Leveraging its expertise in yeast and fermentation technology, Angel Yeast will concentrate on developing novel, safe, and efficient feed additives, bio-stimulants, and biopesticides. These products will contribute to ensuring the health and well-being of livestock and crops, thereby enhancing agricultural food security.
  2. Resource shortage mitigation: Angel Yeast plans to optimize the efficiency of raw material utilization through fermentation and pre-processing technologies. By making better use of industrial and agricultural waste, the company aims to mitigate resource shortages and increase crop yields.
  3. Increased nutrition for agricultural products: Angel Yeast aims to develop a broader range of products that improve the flavor and nutritional value of meat and vegetables. The company also plans to expand its lineup of bioproducts, incorporating new technologies such as synthetic biology (SynBio), to further enhance the nutritional value of agricultural products.
