AgriFutures evokeAG., the premier agrifood tech event in the Asia Pacific region, will occur on February 20-21, 2024, at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. AgriFutures Australia has been bringing together the agrifood tech ecosystem since 2019, connecting and facilitating collaboration between farmers, innovators, investors, researchers, businesses, and governments.
The decision to transfer the 2024 AgriFutures Australia event from Melbourne to Perth, according to AgriFutures Managing Director John Harvey, is a result of the agrifood tech community’s rapid expansion and evokeAG’s development. In 2024, the event was scheduled to stage a two-day event at Melbourne’s Royal Exhibition Building, returning to its origins.
About USD 90 million were invested in Australian agrifood tech innovation in 2019. The event will be relocated to Perth in 2024, a state with a strong exporting history, various businesses, and a well-established and active agrifood tech innovation ecosystem.
The Hon. Jackie Jarvis MLC, Western Australia’s Minister for Agriculture and Food, Forestry, and Small Business, stated that the Western Australian Government’s top objective was to encourage innovation and broaden technology usage throughout the agrifood supply chain. The state is ideally positioned to become a hotspot for agrifood innovation and investment because of its strong linkages to Asia and top-notch colleges.
The Minister said, “We look forward to evoking. 2024 bringing delegates together from throughout Australia and the world to connect and cooperate for the future of our food and agricultural systems.
The event will feature keynote speakers, startup and investment programs, networking opportunities, and sideline activities to support innovation and collaboration in the agrifood tech industry. Early bird tickets are expected to go on sale in mid-2023, and further details about the event will be unveiled in the coming months.
