Meggie Palmer To Make Keynote Address At Women In Agribusiness

Agribusiness Nashville

The Women in Agribusiness Summit is one of the leading events in the agriculture industry, bringing together women worldwide to network, share ideas, and learn from industry leaders. This year’s event promises to be even more exciting with the inclusion of Meggie Palmer as the keynote speaker. Her wealth of experience as a confidence creator will undoubtedly resonate with the attendees looking to bridge the confidence gap and elevate their careers.

Palmer’s talk, “Write Your Success Story,” will provide practical insights into crafting a compelling narrative that aligns with one’s goals and aspirations. She will explore the relationship between personal stories and confidence, identifying limiting beliefs and reframing one’s mindset to cultivate a more confident and empowered version of oneself. Attendees can expect to leave the summit with actionable strategies that they can implement in their own lives.

In addition to her keynote speech, Palmer will lead a pre-opening event workshop titled “Negotiate Like a Pro.” In this session, she will share valuable tips and techniques on how to level up in one’s career, with the mission to close the gaps that limit professional growth, such as gender pay. This workshop will be an excellent opportunity for attendees to gain practical skills they can apply immediately in their work environment.

Scholarship Programs Offered By WIA

Women in Agribusiness (WIA) has announced that it is now accepting applications for the 2023 WIA Scholarship program. The program is aimed at full-time students enrolled in accredited colleges or universities, either as undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral candidates, pursuing agribusiness careers. The scholarships help defray the cost of attending the annual Women in Agribusiness Summit, which will take place in Nashville from September 26-28, 2023.

Since its inception in 2014, the WIA Scholarship program has helped more than 125 students develop their careers in the agribusiness industry. The program is funded by industry businesses such as Cargill, CHS, and Smithfield. Last year, over 20 industry businesses sponsored the program. To apply for the scholarship, applicants must submit a resume, headshot, and a statement detailing their educational and career goals and how attending the WIA Summit will benefit them. The application deadline is July 1, 2023.
