Our lights stay up through the darkest months.
These colourful lights were put up on our Arbutus Greenway gate by Maria and Sean. Many trips up and down the long ladder, and complex wiring that is a puzzle to sort out make this display a show stopper.
Presently, Vancouver is recovering from a week of arctic air and deep snow. This is not how we usually spend our winters in this mild Pacific coast location. Our cold frames have survived, our red wigglers have huddled together to keep warm, and staff have shovelled the walks and spread salt over the ice.
Spring is a blink away and we look forward to seeing the first crocuses emerge in January.
