Based in Oakland Park, FL, Urban Farming Institute (UFI) is a one-stop shop for all-things gardening. Founder Jon Albee and his team host science-based educational classes every Saturday to teach adults and children alike about gardening in an urban environment.
With over 60 raised beds and elevated gardens, people with and without mobility issues can learn to grow their own food affordably and efficiently. Parents, teachers, chefs, farmers and children come together to learn best practices, new recipes and buy organic materials for their gardens.
