Philippines: An Ordinance Institutionalizing Urban Agriculture In The City Of Mandaluyong

Night watchman Ariel Guillarte tends to an urban farm along a walkway by the Pasig River in Mandaluyong City on Friday. The urban farm, a personal project by the night watchmen, yields a fair amount of vegetables such as squash, bitter gourd, calabash gourd, and others which they use as part of their daily meals.

Owners of vacant lots within the City that have no development plan within the year are encouraged to covert their lots into urban gardening/farming
