To encourage the use of the latest technology at community gardens in the municipality, Sepang Municipal Council (MPSepang) started its own vegetable garden at its headquarters in Cyberjaya.

MPSepang president Datuk Abd Hamid Hussain said the council had been encouraging residents to cultivate community gardens since 2017.

He said that with the available innovations for gardeners such as hydroponic, aquaponic and fertigation systems now, community gardeners could adopt these techniques to produce better yields.

“We decided to start our own vegetable garden with the latest technology at a 334sq m area and launched the project, which we call ‘My Office My Farm’, on Jan 6.

“Physical work to set up the infrastructure and a pergola started on Oct 21 last year and was completed within a month.

“Planting was done between November and December.
