Guardian Agriculture, a frontrunner in the development of electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) systems tailored for commercial-scale sustainable agriculture, recently publicized the induction of Matt Cherouny into its top executive team. Cherouny will assume the role of vice president of Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
A seasoned industry veteran, Cherouny has an impressive professional lineage. He has been pivotal in engineering roles at Tesla, one of the world’s most celebrated electric car manufacturers. Furthermore, Cherouny’s most recent tenure as the head of manufacturing at Beta, an electrical vertical aviation firm, lends significant weight to his expertise. At Guardian Agriculture, he will oversee the company’s global supply chain dynamics and supervise the escalation in production rates of the SC1, Guardian’s flagship fully autonomous eVTOL aircraft.
Adam Bercu, Guardian’s founder and CEO, shared his enthusiasm about the recent appointment, “With the recent nod from the FAA allowing us to commence our commercial flights, our strategy is shifting towards ingraining a systematic manufacturing methodology, reinforced by a robust supply chain to sustain it. Matt’s unparalleled achievements with other autonomous establishments, aiding them in expanding their supply chain and production avenues, speak for itself. We are ecstatic to have him, especially at a time when we are navigating a whopping $100 million order book.”
Guardian’s accomplishments in the eVTOL segment have been noteworthy. Earlier in April, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) gave them the green light to operate their fleet nationwide—this monumental approval positions Guardian as the premier eVTOL enterprise to acquire commercial authorization within the U.S. The company is gearing up to commence its commercial ventures in California soon.

Earlier in June, the company’s growth prospects received a further shot in the arm with a successful Series A fundraising round, raking in $20 million. This financial backing is geared towards amplifying commercial outreach across the country’s farms and bolstering the pace of large-scale production.
