First in-store farm launched in Munich end-Q3 2023

Swegreen announces partnership with German supermarket chain EDEKA

Swegreen partners with the EDEKA and merchants Stadler & Honner
EDEKA is a grand European supermarket chain with over 4,300 stores across Germany. This strategic alliance marks a step towards Swegreen's international expansion, with the first in-store facility set to be established in Munich, Germany.

Swegreen's CEO Pierre Mohlin shared: "International expansion has been an integral part of our vision for 2023, and we are delighted to realize it with one of the largest and most respected giants in the industry. Our partnership with EDEKA and Stadler + Honner represents a milestone in our journey to make fresh, sustainable, and locally-grown produce accessible to consumers in Germany."

Daniel Honner, who is an EDEKA merchant and store owner of the facility in Munich, also comments on the strategic tie-up with Swegreen, "We are renowned for our commitment to sustainability, and by introducing Swegreen's in-store farming technology in our stores, we aim to revolutionize the availability of fresh, local and top-quality greens while providing a very futuristic shopping experience."

The installation of the new in-store facility is planned for the autumn of 2023. This collaboration highlights the shared commitment of both Swegreen and EDEKA Stadler + Honner to driving positive change in the food and retail industry and building a more sustainable future. As the installation takes place, the partners look forward to presenting this innovative and eco-friendly approach to food production to consumers in Munich and beyond.
