Egypt: Delphy signs MoU with Plug’n’Grow to strengthen horticulture sector

Delphy and Plug'n'Grow, a commercial hydroponics technologies and services provider, signed an MoU agreement.

For the next 6 months, Delphy and Plug'n'Grow will jointly design and provide training for the Business Sector (B2B) and Business to Government (B2G) on horticulture and optimizing irrigation water efficiency in Egypt through climate-smart agriculture.

The Egyptian agricultural (and horticultural) sector contributes approximately 15% to the gross national product and approximately 40% to employment. There is a clear demand for skilled labor to support the horticulture sector development, and the skilled labor gap for climate-smart agriculture becomes a critical challenge in Egypt and the Middle East.

"Plug'n'Grow continues to support growers and business investors in Egypt, GCC, and India in their transition towards sustainable economic agriculture through a myriad of hydroponic technologies and services," the team shared.
