Through its Industrial Solutions business, Dow (NYSE: DOW) has launched an online tool, DOW™ Crop Solver, designed to expedite agricultural formulation development. The tool, optimized for desktop and mobile use, aims to aid formulators in swiftly selecting and evaluating inert ingredients and their properties.
Dow Industrial Solutions’ range of high-performance ingredients allows agrochemical formulators to create crop protection products by accessing additive information at the onset of development. This approach saves time by eliminating unnecessary formulation iterations, reducing material waste, and ensuring more successful formulation in the field.
“DOW™ Crop Solver was built based on customer feedback,” said Diana Vasquez, Global Segment Leader for Dow Industrial Solutions. “We’ve curated a specific data set tailored to the crop experience that allows formulators to apply advanced filters to find the right inert ingredients based on their specific needs.”
Identifying the right inert ingredients is essential to address various challenges and develop efficient, stable crop protection formulations that allow the active ingredient to realizing its full potential. DOW™ Crop Solver provides easy access to technical data on these ingredients and offers the option to request samples for accelerated agricultural formulation development.
The tool’s features include an active ingredient search, crop regulatory information by product, technical and safety data, easy on-the-go navigation, and inert ingredient property comparisons. While it is currently available in North America, plans to expand to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India, and Latin America regions are underway.
