“NEXT” Conference On The Future Of Urban Agriculture In Europe, Sofia, Bulgaria, on 20-21 April

Organised in the frame of the European Forum for Urban Agriculture Horizon 2020 project (EFUA).

The conference will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria, on 20-21 April but you could also join online. You can find the registration link and the programme here. The deadline for registering for the conference is 2 April.

We will bring together academics, practitioners, city authorities and civil society representatives to discuss how urban agriculture can improve urban environment and quality of life, with a focus on local policies, but also recommendations for urban planners, city authorities and EU-level policy-makers. Confirmed speakers include Giampiero Mazzocchi from CREA, Katarzyna Przyjemska from Krakow Municipality, Carmelo Troccoli from Campagna Amica, Italy, Nevin Cohen from CUNY, Francesco Tresso from City of Turin Council, Gorm Friborg from Copenhagen school garden program, Olga Voutsikaki from Thessaloniki municipality, Henry Gordon-Smith – CEO of Agritecture, and many more.

Our aim is to use this frame of the debate to establish a thriving community of all types of stakeholders that are willing to engage in concerted and coordinated efforts to bring a more comprehensive vision of urban agriculture development and support in Europe. If you also share our passion for urban agriculture we will be very happy to meet – in Sofia or online!
