A community garden in Scranton plans to go all out for Valentine’s Day.

It was a big hit last year so they are doing it again. There will be lots of hearts, little red ones, planted at the Garden of Cedar in Scranton, and one may have your name on it.

The project was started last year by Frank Dubas, who created a community garden there in what was an empty lot in Lackawanna County. The garden is a maze.

He says lots of people like to garden but they live in apartments so this space is a place that they can call their own.

Now they can profess their love here too.

It’s the Garden of Hearts campaign, and last year there were 1,200 hearts planted, each with a personalized message.

Frank is hoping to plant 2,000 hearts this year.

The hearts were donated so it was free to plant one. High school art students wrote out the names and messages, and then folks were invited to come to the garden to look for their heart.

Once you found it, you could take it home with you.
