Leadership Transition in Direct Markets:

Jason Meador, who currently heads Zurich’s crop insurance business RCIS, will lead the Direct Markets business effective February 1. This division primarily serves auto dealers and rental operations. Meador’s appointment follows the upcoming retirement of Vince Santivasi, the current Head of Direct Markets. Santivasi, who will retire on April 5, has been with Zurich for 20 years and has played a crucial role in establishing Zurich as a leading provider of Finance & Insurance and Property & Casualty insurance to franchised auto dealers in the U.S.

Zurich North America CEO Kristof Terryn commented on the transition, expressing gratitude for Santivasi’s significant contributions and affirming confidence in Meador’s ability to continue this legacy. Meador, a Navy veteran with a diverse background in the insurance industry, has been with Zurich for over a decade, holding various leadership roles.

Meador’s Educational and Professional Background:

Meador’s qualifications include an MBA from the University of Maryland, a Master of Science in Engineering Science from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University. Before joining Zurich, he was a Principal with The Boston Consulting Group, serving clients in the Insurance and Financial Services industry.

RCIS Leadership Transition:

Dalynn Hoch will assume the role of Head of RCIS, succeeding Meador, from February 1. Hoch’s most recent position was Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at Zurich Insurance Group. Before that, she served as Chief Financial Officer at Zurich North America for seven years and was a Partner at KPMG.

Hoch, who has a background in family agriculture and extensive experience in finance and transformation, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northwestern – St. Paul, Minnesota, with a triple major, including international business and accounting.

Terryn remarked on the appointment, highlighting Hoch’s strong leadership qualities and fit for leading the Crop business, given her background and experience within Zurich.
